Kingsley Archive 21-22
My name is Mrs. Wood and I am the class teacher in Kingsley class. Working alongside me is Mrs. Popham who will also teach the class on a Tuesday afternoons.
This year your child will take part in the Year 4 Multiplication check. Under the National Curriculum, primary school children are expected to know their 12 times tables by the end of year 4. You can support your child by encouraging them to log into TTRockstars daily to complete a soundcheck - login details can be found in the front of their reading journals. Further guidance about the check and ideas on how you can support your child at home can be found here
Please do come and see me if you have any questions or contact me through the class email address email@example.com

Learning in Kingsley Class
During the Summer term our topic was Roman Britain. We learnt all about the Roman Invasion of Britain and looked at the expansion of the Roman Empire over time. Kingsley class researched foods that were available in Roman Britain and created their own Roman Banquet.
In Kingsley class during the summer term, we were lucky to receive Djembe lessons from Somerset Music. The children enjoyed exploring polyrhythms and gumboot dancing. They were very excited to perform their newly learnt skills to the school during an assembly.
We are looking forward to getting to know the new Kingsley class cohort in September and getting stuck into our new topics.
